Ko-no-ma Among Trees is a limited-edition poetry book by Tony Maude, capturing the essence of place and memory through lyrical verses. A limited edition with a few remaining copies available, this is a collector’s item for poetry lovers.

Displayed seasonally in John Sullivan Park (Lees Road) in Ennis, these installations, themed “Passing on Poetry,” are enhanced with paintings by local artist Anne Treanor. The installations feature extracts from Tony Maude’s poems and world literature, including works by Wordsworth, Shakespeare, and Yeats, all handwritten on boards and hung like necklaces among the trees.

Designed for both adults and children, these installations have successfully introduced poetry to the local community in a natural woodland setting, a place where people could go when the world closed down, during the pandemic.
